magic 2 chip problems
I just recived a playstation 2 magic 2 premoded unit. It powers up but does not show any picture or sound. It dosen't even switch over when I put a RFU adaptor on. Is thier somthing i'm not doing. I can't contact the company I bought it from because they "are moving thier offices and cannot recieve e-chat or phone calls" They say they are responding to e-mail but it's been a week. I think I might be SCREWED!

Did you pay by credit card? You could dispute it but i wonder if that would cause any problems for you.
Companies tend to be more receptive when you go through your credit card company.

I used the wires that came with it through the video inputs in my vcr. I tested the inputs with the gamecube and that works fine. I though it might be the wires that came with it so I bought a RFU adaptor to hook it up to the TV and it didn't work. My friend used his playstaion on it and switched over as soon as he put it on. On mine it dosen't do that at all. I get nothing from the two conectons but they both work on the other playstation so it can't be the wires. Hopfullly the people at the site will respond to my e-mails. I don't know if it's against the rules to say which web site i got it from. It didn't seem bogus.

I don't think it would be wrong to post the name of the site (of course i can be wrong, i am new here). If anything, it will warn off potential customers who might get the same treatment.

Yeah.... Nothing wrong with posting the site where you purchased the pre-modded unit from...
Sounds like youve done all of your own troubleshooting... I would be ALL OVER the company that sold it... Go ahead and post the site... This way, if they do make it right, we will all know they are trustworthy.... If they don't, they probably won't get anyone from this forums business...
