Dear Readers

I've been surfing throught this forum for last hour and there're so many threads about "HITMAN 2" game but it looks like nobody really said...YES U CAN COPY THIS GAME AND PLAY IT !!!!

SO...CAN YOU MAKE A WORKING BACKUP/COPY OF """HITMAN 2 (Silent Assassin)""" ????!!!!!

If not...is there a working """NO_CD Patch""" for this game??

Im using CLONECD 4.0.1.10 version, and NERO 5.5.9.14 version. Im also using CLONYXXL (Protection Scanner) 2.0.0.6 version and it tells me that the copy protection is ""SECUROM2*new*"""

Im running on WindowsXP and the game is UK version.

NOW.......The ultimate question Y.......or.......N ??????????????????????????

IF YES ...(I HOPE!!)... HOW TO DO IT ?????

If the game is the newest variant of Securom New (which I think it is), then no it cannot be backed up 1:1

The only way to back it up is to download a fixed exe from one of the sites listed in the sticky topic above and use it.

Ie
Copy contents of cd to temp directory

Add crack (either create a crack folder or overwrite the orginal exe with the fixed and create an original exe folder consequently)

Burn contents of temp directory back to cd-r with the same cd label.

I've just had a look, and guess what? I found the crack with in 10 seconds. I've given you the instruction on how to help yourself but as you haven't even read the sticky topics, "I'd love to" give you the link....but ur lazy

yes you can create a working backup without a patch..i did it as for wich progs i used i dont remember,sorry. i usually use win iso or daemon or fantom cd and disc juggler. i havnt had a prob backing up anything as long as i kept my progs up to date. hope this helps

OK...There's a start, I downloaded all patches from the link.

Hitman 2 v1.0 [ENGLISH] No-CD/Fixed EXE , Hitman 2 v1.0 [ENGLISH] No-CD , Hitman 2 v1.0 [ENGLISH] Fixed EXE ,

Now... I tried 2 do what it says to do...and nothing happened..it says to replace the HITMAN2.exe with the downloaded one, but they're under diffrent name.....

****....!!! IS IT ME....OR DOING THIS IS NOT THAT EASY !!!

webtwerp > how is everybody supposed to believe u if u don't provide us with any proof, what programs did u use, what settings. A 1:1 copy with this protection can not do done with some form of crack. Providing the above info can bring us all closer to defeating it.

How is it not working?? That patch works fine for me. U sure it aint that EAX bug with the game??

Add this line:

EaxDisable

To the bottom of your Hitman2.ini file. Now try run the game.

well i got a working backup without a crack using daemon tools and clone cd try it

yes just about all games can be 1-1 perfect with all the latest cd protection since i have perfect copies of diablo 2 + LOD it has secerom new or 2 on it stronghold has safedisc 2 i have a perfect 1-1 copy of that to so i believe u can.
It takes a lot of research and time, first i would surgest u purchase a rewritable cd so u can play around with the settings at no extra cost (making coasters).
Acer burners are very good as hardware and clone cd software is about the best u can use, the rest is time, your time as i dont have that game so i cant give u settings sorry.

Diablo 2 doesn't use the very new Securom protection. That is why it can be copied.

You are not able to backup anything which uses latest securom new at the moment.
Sometimes it seems to be possible due to an error in the protection scheme, but that is only by chance.
