test copying wcw vs the world: failed

ok i made my first test copy with clonecd and it failed, the psx couldnt even run the cd. It was by the way already a copy i tried to copy. Now ive got some questions:
1) saw the tutorial on http://www.psxcopyworld.co.uk but thats the old version. Ive got the newest where you cant fill in details, just the icons data cd, audio cd, game cd....i did 'data cd', it went wrong, so maybe do i have to slect 'game cd?'
2)i also cant select read speed for writing the image to harddisk. cuz thats also gone in this new version, maybe it went wrong here?
3)later i selected write speed (so to copy the image to cd) 4x, or is this also not good and do i have to use 2x?

test 2: vigilante 8

hey my 2nd test, copying a copy of vigilante 8, worked for about 50 %. I copied it with clonecd again, but when i try to play it, it doesnt work at all OR ir works but not good: it skips the intromovie, the sound is in snippets and its loading too long n stuff, so its not good.
- I burned it at a 4x speed, do i have to copy it on 2x?
- Does it matter what kind of cd u use where to copy it on? Cuz with copying audio cd's from mp3's a 74 min cd-r barely works on many cd players, but an 80 min cd-r is like a normal audio cd, it works about everywhere. (by the way can u use also cd-rw's?)

hi there
I always tend to burn PSX backups at 1x speed
And use decent media such as TDK or Verbatim

Test 3: copying a copy of Apocalypse

Test 3: copying a copy of Apocalypse failed badly! what am i doin wrong? i dont understand this! clonecd, burned it on 2x , still dont work! Is it the new version of clonecd? i only got that tutorial of the old version so maybe i'm forgetting something?
So here are the questions:
1) is it right to slect in that menu 'game cd' cause thats what i did at all 3 tests and NONE went right
2) Does it matter what kind of cd u use where to copy it on? Cuz with copying audio cd's from mp3's a 74 min cd-r barely works on many cd players, but an 80 min cd-r is like a normal audio cd, it works about everywhere (old question but no answer yet, only that you cant use cd-rw's)
.........please can someone give me answers to ALL these questions because i REALLY wanna know whats wrong!!!!!!

try cdrwin instead of clonecd as your burner might not be compitable with it!

well according to http://www.elby.de/ it is (ive got a lite-on LTR-24102B). But ok i'll try cdrwin. But its not that 74 min runs bad like copied audiocd's (from mp3's) and that only 80 min cdr's work?
