i dont have a switch on mine as i have a stealth chip but i have fitted a switch on my sister in laws for dance dance revolution!
look at the chip,have it so u can see a little cut in the top of the chip facing u! in that position pin 5 is the bottom right pin and pin 6 is next to it. hopefully there is enough wire on your chip to put the chip on the side or top of your psx. cut wires 5 and 6 and solder them to the switch! drill a small hole in your psx and fit the switch!
