playstation one backups

If I put a modchip in my ps2 would I be able to play my playstation 1 backups in it?

That would depend on the mod chip and boot procedure..
Because mod chips require different boot procedures for PS2 games & PS1 games....

I am using a non solder modchip and the game shark. Off the top of your head would you know if it will work?

It should work...

Take a look at the "STICKY" post at the top of this forum called " Boot procedures for all mod chips.)

See if that will help....
I'm still working on it, so not EVERYTHING is covered yet...
