DVD Player won't read DVD

Hi,

I have a Pioneer 104 DVD-R. I have used SmaerRipper to rip the whole contents of a small DVD to my hard rive. I have then used PrimoDVD to burn the DVD. The DVD that results plays perfectly on my PC DVD but will not play at all in my home players (x2). Both report an error.

Anyone know why this is? Is it bcause I have missed something out or do I need a newer DVD Player? One of the players does say that it supports CD-R and mp3 cds. It is quite new. I would be greatful for any help!

Thanks

Hi yes I have video_ts folder and an audio_ts folder although it is empty as it was on the original DVD.

The other thing : "and do you have type video whif cabs on !" I will look into as I am not sure what you mean. Is this in PrimoDVD?

Thanks for your help! I am getting a great collection of coasters still so chip in guys!!

Thx

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I have got a CD to work on my Toshiba SD100. I had forgotten that the VIDEO-TS and AUDIO_TS need to be inblock capitals They still don't work on the sony multichanger even though it supports MP3s and CD-Rs! I did notice on a new Panasonic DVD player yesterday that supports DVD-R so hopefully manufacturers will say if their player supports them!

Just make sure u have the following files on the disk(in the VIDEO-TS folder)
the title set:VTS_01_0.xxx

and all the video_ts files:
video_ts.bup
video_ts.ifo
video_ts.vob

and dont forget to remove MacroVision and CSS
