By the way, where did you read these specs BG?

Is it possible to have a dual layer burner for our home PC? and if so, when do you expect on to hit the shelves?
If I'm not mistaken, the AO5 still doesn't support all competing DVD formats right?
1. DVD-Audio

4. DVD RAM
5. DVD-R
6. DVD-RW
7. DVD+R
8. DVD+RW
Did I get them all?
This drive doesn't have DVD-Audio or DVD-RAM support correct?
I'm not sure if it supports both -R/RW and +R/RW, but I think Sony's new offering will.
When will a drive with all these functions be available?

A friend of mine that works at a "BIG" electronics/computer store, got the info for me... They received the spec sheet directly from Pioneer...(He passed the info on to me

There is no dual layer burner that consumers can get as of now.

You are correct. Pioneer did not include the +R format with the A05. They don't support that format like Sony, HP, Phillips, and ricoh do.
It also does not support DVD-RAM....(Who really cares...DVD-RAM won't be around much longer anyway.)

Sony's drive will support both the +R & -R format...(They basically had to do this....The -R drives were outselling the +R drives almost 2 to 1...They are supporting the -R format now to try and appeal to everybody...

From what I can tell....The launch price will be around $330.00 for the 105 and $390 for the A05.....
This is a unconfirmed price, but this is what I can pre-buy them for now...(plus shipping of course)

$400.00? Last time I checked for A05 I heard it was around $330.00. I guess I have to wait and see..Anyone want my A03?
I still got the Box and everything..It's in excellent condition due to the External Fire enclosure(Enclosure not included)B4 I posted on Ebay..Willing to get rid of it 4 good price..

Hey A03....You know the way everything is....

The ONLY way to find out the TRUE price is when the UNIT is at the stores....
I have seen pre-buys on e-bay for $330.00...

ALSO....Send me a e-mail and let me know what you want for your A03....

The A05 is now on the Pioneer website. You can check it it out here Click on where to buy and it will tell you that it will be available in November.

No... I haven't gotten it yet.... They are not supposed to start shipping until at least the 28th of OCT or NOV 1....
