Emperor: Rise of the Mid... help needed!

I'm a newb at this but getting a quick education

Ok, got a working (it installs) CD for this using Alcohol 120 but it does not pass the Securom *new* check (as determined by Clony XXL).
Daemon in emulation mode does not work.

Make a MDF/S image using Alcohol 120 and mounted this on Daemon and installed from here. This also does not run (with or without the emulation on).

Any ideas? Installing off the original and using the backup for the CD check doesn't work so the CD copy looks good.. is it just the protection check is too new? Daemon has some talk about new MDS for Neverwinter etc but their forums are down.

Any luck on running the Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom from the backup cd?

Kinda, it only runs sometimes. From what I'v read the very latest Securom is not 1:1 copyable at present.
But after a couple of tries it does kick in.
