The best protection a game manufacturer can implement is a serial number. It's very simple to do, and without a valid serial number you usually can't play multiplayer games online - which is the best part of most games.

To be honest with u. Until GCW opens a General Discussion Board on these forums, This thread will probably be deleted due to having nothing to do with backing up games.

BTW: Serials didnt help much, as was the case with Medal Of Honor and UT2003. Both games can be played online with a KeyGen Key.

serials help one hell of a lot. diablo2! the problem is that games companies dont always keep a record of issued serials, or they dont IP-monitor numbers, or region-monitor.
