Question The sims won't work with win XP

Can anyone please help me - everytime I try to start the Sims (I have all expansion packs, also unleashed original CD's), win XP shuts the game down. Anyone who knows if there is a pattch or anything else which I can try? I appreciate all help!

RincewindTheWiz is on a distinguished road
I've got XP Pro and all expansion packs and it works ok. However, sometimes it crashes to desktop, and this on a pc where NOTHING else crashes, ever. So I think there's still a few bugs in it. Try updating your graphics drivers, and certainly try disabling sound acceleration.
