Notes on Patches
**************

- A 'Trainer' means cheats are built into the patch.

- A 'Protection Fix' means the patch by-passes the anti mod of the game.

- 9.9999999/10 patches have NTSC - PAL function built into them.

All you need to do is when the patch screen shows up hit 'O' for NTSC (Good Ol' Canada) or 'X' for PAL (Europe).

You don't need to worry if their's a NTSC/PAL selector on the patch, it will still work as long as you downlod the NTSC patch.

Get the patch you need here.

ihaveanosebleed is on a distinguished road
To bypass the anti mod in Spyro 3 it is VERY easy. No need to patch or anything.
When the insomniac sign appears (just before the antimod screen comes up) OPEN
the CD lid, if you timed it right you should see spyro running and "press start"
Start and select your game save file, close lid and load the game!

thank to all!

I have patching the game succesfully but the game will not start. the console recognize the CD but it will stop at the screen with the following information.

PDX
Playstation
Paradox
=-Inovator$ not Initator$ - =

CEA-tm

Why???????

I have the patch you told me
http://www.megagames.com/console/cg...x&file=pdx-s3uf!zip

but when trying to apply the patch it will tell me different size with the image. So I try different patch and it was successfully patching to the image but the game won't start and the disk stop loading at the above message.

What have I done wrong or I ma missing other importatnt step?

I am using CDRWin to backing up.

Thank you,

Marc

Usually when the sizes don't match the patch won't work.
You can try a different patch and if you can you should copy the game from the cd again. I'm not really sure what else you can do. Maybe someone else can help you out.

The fact that you have the trial version of CDRWIN is definetly not the problem.

I have the same problem, since I've chipped my PS2 I can no longer use my original

But I have Greatest Hits version, this have a bug fix that was in the original version of Spyro 3, so I need a patch for this version.... I bought GH version because the fix, and now I can't patch it :\

Anyone knows if a patch for this version exists? I've searched in megagames, but every patch says "Incorrect file size".

Thanks a lot!

Install the Stelth Elite ship and use CloneCD. In that way you don't need the patch for Spyro. No one that I know have sucessfully patched that game. This way is more expensive but you won't do any more coasters and no more need for patching.

Have tried Spyro3 myself and no patch worked for me so I used CloneCD and it works perfectly.

I'll be happy if a Stealth chip would exist for PS2, but there isn't

I just installed the chip (23 wires, for god sake! and now I'll attempt to put a switch to turn it off. I guess I have no other choice.

Greets!
