Anyone have a NOLF Crack?

Yeah, I'm new to this whole thing. I'e got version 1.003 of No one lives forever, and I'd like to play it without the CD...*cough*. Does anyone have the crack for the game?

I've tried looking in all of the links provided in VLuka's topic.... but nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

Run N.O.L.F (1) without CD

Since the protection of No One Lives Forever (1) is solely in the launcher, you can bypass the protection by calling the main executable LITHTECH.EXE "by hand", i.e. in a batch file.

Just call it with params for all the .rez files in your NOLF directory, it should look similiar to this:

Quote:
LITHTECH.EXE -windowtitle "No One Lives Forever" -rez NOLF.rez -rez NOLF2.rez -rez NOLFdll.rez -rez NOLFl.rez -rez custom +multiplayer 0 +DisableMusic 0 +DisableSound 0 +DisableMovies 1 +DisableTripBuf 0 +DisableHardwareCursor 0 -rez nolf.rez -rez nolf2.rez -rez nolf3.rez -rez nolf4.rez -rez nolf5.rez -rez nolf6.rez -rez Nolfu002.rez -rez Nolfu003.rez
Yes, it is indeed a very long line.

I hope this helps.
B.t.w.: This method works at all "old" lithtech-engine games like:
- NOLF
- AvP
- AvP (Gold)
- AvP2
- WW2 Normandy

unfortunately, fox interactive has abandonded this nice habit and bound SecuRom (very new) to the LITHTECH.EXE of NOLF2

Wow, thanks a lot... but is there anyway I can get that in layman's terms...? :-p

Should I just copy that into a batch file inside of the game's directory and run it?

Okay, i did that... but it gives me an error.

"Error trying to copy cshell.dll"

*shrugs* Any suggestions?

Talking right arguments to lithtech.exe

Ok, propably the order of the .rez-commandos was screwed up.
I've got another tip:
After a full install of NOLF run the game using the launcher one time with the CD in the drive. Afterwards you should have a file named "nomfcmds.txt" in your NOLF directory. Open this with an editor, it has the correct "long line" of arguments for LITHTECH.exe inside. Simply put the word LITHTECH in front of this line and save it as NOLF.BAT.
