i have gt3 & backup but with the backup i can not use gt3 save data or gs2 data whats the dealio

Did you make the backup or did you get it from somebody else.
The problem may be that when the game was ripped a file that was needed was taken out.
I have ripped the game and it works fine with the save data.

When trying to use gameshark codes for the game you may have problems as the gameshark alters areas of the game. If this areas are missing the game will fail to boot.

since i dont have a dvd drive i had got the game from somedude when i start the backup it says kalisto and when i try to use gs data it boot fine but the screen that says playstation on it it distorted and when i get in the game none of the gs data had worked like it was never used.and i can save games but if i go to load a game it says no gt3 data can be found
