Sony's DVD±RW Drive
Has anyone heard or used this: Sony's DVD±RW Drive
DRU500A. It sounds really cool since it does dvd-r and dvd+r but I want to make sure it would actually work with ps2 games. Any input is appreciated. THanks Husker2003

It's new, Not many people have tried it yet so it will probably be a few weeks before we get any reviews on the drive

I dont know if they are the best or not. Technology is and always will be improving. I do know they are proven winners when it comes to PS2 backups.

The Sony DVD±RW Drive DRU500A is looking to be a very good drive. Plus it comes with a favorite program of mine Stomp Record Now Max, which is known to backup PS2 dvd's.
It is supposed to write dvd-r at 4x (at least when the disc for that speed come out). I will most likely be buying one of these puppies. The thing is it is not out for sale yet. This is from their own site: "Shipping date not available" Tyler!

I'm with Tyler on the 4x Burner..Need to get one..Or Maybe I should wait till 8x comes out which is not due till June 2003 from what I heard..Who knows..
