Madden 2003 NO-CD patch problem

Hi guys! I just tried to use Madden NO-CD patch, and after game started loading (EA Sports Logo screen) it closed saying "Madden 2003 CD was removed, game has encountered a fatal error". Has anyone had that happen to them, and if so, whats the solution?
