Gangsters 1 !!

Hi
I have had to turn to using cracks to get my version of 'Gangsters' to work as it no longer runs as i have lately got XP. I went to places for cracks and got the game started okay without the 'unable to initialise cd player' goin mad at me. When i get into the game tho i find that all my guys are in jail. I looked at gamefixes patches for the crack and found that they dont work eitehr even one says it stops this jail thing hapening. Can you help me out?

p.s any help with eitehr the XP problem or finding a crack that enables the hoods to not be in prison woulod be appriated!! Also sorry for people have heard this 100 times before!!

Well im not a whizz with my comp and my mates say not to have anything to do with SP1! I dunno what is goin on i just wanna play it considering i paid money to buy it!! Any other suggestions?
