VCD
You can burn that .avi file to VCD with Nero Burning Rom. You can download a free trial version. Just search with altavista.

What about an AVI file that is too big for CD? I'm trying to "backup" the movie Shrek, but when NERO encodes it, it becomes too big. So I was told to use an editing tool(s). But after I split them, I didn't even receive any sound.

And does it always take a couple of hours to encode MPG's and AVI's?
Thanks!!
