convert the video-file 2 STR file. and put it on the CD, and play it with a gameshark, or replace it for credits (or something like that) in an game, then burn it, play it, and view the creditz!

I've done it before, it works!!!

Try using Easy CD Creator 5. It has an option to burn Video file into VCD format, which is what PSX can play.

I've tried it, and it works.

Let me know if it works for you!

I understood that you need an external add-on in order for your playstation to read VCD's. Are you saying that your Playstation can play VCD's without the add-on? If so, how?

I'm not too sure how my PSX it does it, but it does!

I've had a friend of a friend put my mod chip in, could something esle have been installed in the same manner?

I don't know much about the PSX technical specs, so I really don't know how i can do it. I just know it works!

Hi,

I'm also searching for this,

this is what i know :

Use Virtual dub to convert your avi movie on a uncompressed in a 320*240, for sound 44,1 Khz, 16 bits, Steréo

after u need to convert your avi files into .str (use STR2AVI if i'm remerber well)

It's just a bit difficult after 'cause u need to make a boot disk, u can use cdgen,

I have already made it but the cd is not reconize by my play station, i need something else,

So if anyone knows how do it,

I'm pretty sure you need a VCD add-on in order to watch them on your PSX.

Thumbs up

Sweet Link

So you can watch videos on your PSX without a VCD add-on because the movies are in .str format which is not a VCD.
