Not quite right, Gameshark that ver is above the 2.1, still detect whether the dongle is inserted or not, but if u press x, it can still boot, but without a dongle, u can't put new codes though

I think xtwo meant if it's possible to use memory card of PS2 to load the codes..We all know it doesn't load or load without the dongle..
