Plextor's Response
After reading the article about Safedisc v2 by the maker of DiscDump, I emailed Plextor various times, and their support team denies that Plextor has collaborated with the copy protection companies. Personally, I do not believe one word.
Also, I HAD a Plextor 40/12/40A with firmware 1.00, and it could not copy any Safedisc game at all (ex: FIFA 2002). I am wondering which writer and firmware offers the greatest versatility to burn any protection. I have seen many posts, but not a single one directs me towards the best possible drive that I can buy currently. Please help. Thanks. |

that is a safedisc 2.51 game, which requires aws to copy, and often the copy only works in the burner. apparently you havent searched a lot, because there are quite a few 'single best' drives. check the reviews @ www.cdfreaks.com, as they do comprehensive cd protection tests.
*edit* also, plextor officially doesnt support RAW writing, or anything else that allows u to circumvent copy protections. if you want to get around safedisc 2, they arent going to help u.

If it's Fifa 2002 World Cup then it's SD2.51
If it's Fifa 2002 then it's 2.4 and your Plextor should be able to copy it.
