placement of dummy file...

while making a few games selfboot i was wondering if you could use the first audio.raw track instead of a dummy file in the main directory, i mean as long as you correct the lba in binhack.
So like creating a 300mb audio.raw file.

Is this possible?

Why would i want to do this? no reason just thinking.

Please pardon my ignorance...

But how does one go about creating a "dummy" audio.raw file?? Is there a utility that does that easily?? I assume you make it the same size as dummy.dat?

Thank you ;o)

there certainly is a program to do this, its called mktmp.exe. You can find it in the Echelon selfboot kit.

To use it, run dos, move to the directory mktmp is in then use the command line 'mktmp audio.raw 39332496' where the numbers are the size you want the file to be.
