pioneer dvd-rw media with ps2 version 5/6

I am wondering if anyone has had luck playing pioneer dvd-rw brand disks on the ps2 version 5/6.

i might work, but not garanteed to work, your better of using dvd-r, as i'm sure it doesn't work (correct me if i'm wrong)

just have a go if you have a dvd-rw, as you can erase the disc if it doesn't

I can play dvd-rw backup movies but not games!!!! I just tried it once maybe a bad burn.
