Just Brought PS2

Hi everybody i've finally given in & brought a PS2 after years of my old Playstation that's still going strong with at least 200-300 backups.

I need some help, I have ordered a Messiah Mod-Chip & I was wondering if it's still the same set up as the PS1 games??

Can you still use your CDRW with Clone CD to copy the games or is it time to invest in a DVD burner?

If anyone could give me the gist of things I would be most grateful.

You can still use your CDR-W but only for full CD format games or by ripping the DVD games (www.ps2ownz.com).

If you've got £200 spare then yes - invest in a DVD burner (Pioneer 104 from www.bigpockets.co.uk or www.121cdr.co.uk).

Good for u to have a messiah chip install on ur ps2
Pretty sure the set up is the same unless u want to back up the ps2 dvd format.Ripping can be pain in the #####
As paul say invest a dvd burner

Thanks for the useful hints does anyone know if there is anywhere that will give me a list of the games that I can do with my CDRW till I get hold of a DVD burner.

there was a huge list compiled in a post a while back, search back a few weeks the chaps name was "Ci" or something like that.

Here is my list of 240 games. It tells you what is and dvd-r and dvd-rips. All others are cd-r.
