play ps2 games with out modchips

my friend told me that you can play ps2 games without modchip he say he plays it with his ps2 i would ask him what i did wrong but hes not on the moment

so if any of you know anything about this plz let me know

Odds are he's referring to either Knife trick or the Credit Card swiping trick..
Either one of these WILL shorten the life span of the PS2..
Don't bother..Get yourself a Modchip..
And there is NO BOOTDISC..Despite all the crap you might here about..Maybe someday but not Today or Tomorrow unless Super miracle happens..
Seriously though Modchip is the BEST investment you'll make and later you can laugh at your friend when he's machine is damaged or DEAD. Get a Pro solderer to install it..Magic2 is 100% non Swap..All Direct Boot including Imports.
Now that MAgic2 is all 7 PS2 compatible..

what you do is put the game shark in and start without codes then you open the tray manually and insert the game then it works

i also think its not working because there is a big scrach on it

I'm not saying anything because it's harmful on the machine..
Do you really want to spend additional $200.00 buying a Brand new Ps2? Eventually down the road..All because you didn't want to buy the chip..I admit that maybe because you don't want to avoid warranty as well..that's why you take it to a Pro solderer..
Cheapest modchip goes for $20.00 at tops..

one reason i dont want to get the modchip is because the dvd burnner

anywayz there is always my fav. store wall mart just switch out the insides of the ps2

what mod chip do you gotz?

Messiah PS2 and MAgic2 Ps2..
You better watch out on the Wal mart trick because they're cracking down on the Swap thing.. Sony is catching on to people swapping from Bad mod jobs on the machine..
I was reading about this from a another forum..Nothing lasts..
My advice is Modchip..That's all I gonna say..I mean come on, you can't always have free lunch..There are certain things that needs to be bought..Also You don't have to get DVD burner, just buy the DVD-R backups from sites or sellers.
Do what you want! It's your machine..I've seen people do some funny things to Ps and Ps2 trying to avoid buying modchips..

half of the time i cant find the modchip cuz its not there to sell

so you dont need a dvd burnner to burn ps2 games?

the copy of tekken 4 that i got is on a cdr but the dvd videos are not there but i dont care

i guess i whould take your advise because people are start cheaking the things you return tried it to get xtasy geforce but found one store they dont even cheak

I got the Tekken 4 DVD-R Version. If you want MAgic2 go to
modchip dot ca. They got Magic2 Chips. And then go to Bill with Freedomlives dot com for install..Very Fast turn around time..
