I need some questiones answered about patches
If you burn the psx and the patch to the same cdr. All you have to do is put that cdr in your psx and it will start to play or do you still have to do a swap trick or something else?
Their so many different patches for one game which one should i use? If this helps i only own usa copies How do you burn games that pass 700mb? Can you just burn the rest to a second cd?

The game needs to be patched before you burn, you need the ppf-o-matic or a program like that.
You have to do the swap trick if your using a gameshark or x-change disk. The latest mod-chip should get by the protection sceme. To burn a game past the 700mb you do what is called and over-burn. Not all burners can do this and some may be damage by the use of overburning. |

If you got Older modchip for PS1 then patching is a must for cetain games..If you don't like patching then Gameshark is your only other option..
All Ps1 games are maximum of 625 megs from what I've seen.. Unless there are some games I haven't seen.. Nero supports Overburn and Yes you need to make sure the CD burner supports it..From what I understand only Certain DC games are required for Over burn.. For PS1 and PS2 CD games no more than 625 megs and Ps2 DVD rips are usually under 700 megs.. |

The only PS game I ran in to bigger then 700mb was Madden 2001 or 2002 for PSone.

What? That's insane..Are you sure it's not because it's HDD image stretched? You know how images get scratched out when you put it in the HDD..
