Question image files with protection?

does anyone know how to get rid of protection from a clonecd (1 times read copy)? I have done this to a game of mine and cant burn a good cd from it. I still have the image of the game but now i dont have the original cd as it got majorly scratched in my old cdrom drive. I can get the game to work thoughwith the help of daemon tools (mount the image) but i still want a semi-original cd....any help would be greatly appreciated...

Hey dude

um by the looks of it i would say it has safedisc 2 on it but not sure so u will have to use a patch. Most likely. burn the image to a cd using clone cd latest if possible shouldnt matter. Then when u have installed the game place the patch on and play the game. should work. as i say iom not sure what copy protection it has got. Just see if u can get a patch for it first and see what happens but in answer to your wuestion i pretty shaw u cant take the copy protection of an image. (if u now what protection is on it, it that would be help full and i could tell u what settings to use with clone
Thx Vetch

it definitly is safedisc , not sure if v2 or not (i suspect so as well) ..I can run it with daemon tools stealthdvd ok(emulator.with safedisc enabled) My problem is that i have an image , the game installed but no disc to reinstall/burn image from.I am using clonecd v3.3.4.1 (read at 1 times) with these setiings on a liteon 24*10*40 burner....

settings used for image are...
read :1*
read subch data from data tracks
read subch data from audio tracks
select fast error skip
set read retry to 5
set error correction to none
unselect dont report bad sectors
unselectintelligent bas cestor scanner

setings for burn of the cd are....
write at any speed
select RAW DAO
select dont repair subch data
unselect simulate witing
select burnproof/just link
unselect perform lasr power calibration
nselect wait until all buffers are full

hope this helps.....?

Hey

um that would be your best bet get clone cd 4 and burn it using the game profile. see if that works.
i would say it is the way u have read it with sub channel data ticked this might have affected you out come result. Try clone cd 4 as i say.
let us know how u go

Game profile

when u go into clone cd. U will come to a part instead of selecting settings every time it has icons which are programed to do certain things. So i want to do music i click the audio icon has settings which r programed into it so i have to just burn. Grab it and have a look
