Resident Evil Survivor, Protection patch applied...

(NTSC Version on Stealth modified console 9002)

The original CD showed a warning that console had been modified and refused to go further.
I applied the Protection Patch PPF file on the CDRWin Image, the game boots OK, but at the "Press Start to begin" message, no button works, and the game just starts the demo, and back to original Start screen, ignoring any controller action...
Is there and how can i get a workaround for this...?
Is the patch known not to work properly ?
Anybody with similar situation..?
Thanks for any help and suggestions !

I have a copy of the NTSC version of RE: Survivor and I used the patch from Megagames to remove the protection and it worked perfectly. Not sure why your bothering with that game though, It's without a shadow of a doubt the worst RE game and quite possibly the worst game ever for the PS1... Anyways I just D/L the patch and used ppf-o-matic 2.0 to apply it. I used CDRWIN 3.7f to burn it.

The import version is much better, just because you can use the Guncon!!

Wink

I went with PPF-O-Matic 3.0, tried both on Mac and PC, with appropriate image files, maybe i should have tried with PPF 2.0, don,t think it should make any diff but who knows....

Unhappy

It shouldn't make a difference which PPF version you used to patch the game, but for the record I used 2.0

Cool hooray it works...

tried the burned cd again, this time by using the controller from boot time and non-stop until first screen appeared, and as soon as editor's nice presentation screen was on, and this time could abort it and get to start menu, Start key brought me to game and everything went fine from then on...
maybe just a modchip glitch or sensitivity...
anyway, everything perfect...so i can now play the "worst Resident Evil" game ever"..;-)

They actually made a PS2 version!? OMG What was Capcom thinking. That game makes me sick and after one play-through should be sliced, diced and napalmed. The other RE games rock though.

I would have bought the PS2 version no matter how crappy if they would have included a Gold Luger Guncon!!
