Help! lockups & crashes nero & clonecd

Help! After about two weeks of running clone cd & Nero I cannot access disks on my cdrom or my burner I get lockups and crashes when I try to auto play or right click explore. Sometimes as soon as I click on the drive shortcut the puter freezes or restarts. I ran Norton and any other app that Microsoft supplies w/ windows SE but no luck fixing the problem. Before I blow the HD out and rebuild (this really sucks it takes me about 5 hrs to do). I’m looking for any suggestions to solve this problem.
