Newbie needs help....Nero or CloneCD???

Ultra newbie here. Just installed my Plextor 12/10/31A and frankly the soltware sucks. I've researched a good bit and it seems that it's a flip of a coin on these two utilities. My primary use of the burner will be mass storage of jpg's and mpeg's....my wife's a professional photographer. Which do you recommend?.....or is there a better program for me to consider. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Use Nero burning 5.0.0.3 Or higher to drag files from Hd to Writer (Easy to Use, Work Fine)
Use CDRwin 3.8a if you make a direct copy

CloneCD and CDRWin makes copies, but are not suited to backup pictures, or other files.
Three among the best softs to built backups are EasyCD creator, WinOn CD, and Nero. EasyCD is said to be bad, but its very user friendly, and I don't advise Nero for newbies!
In conclusion, I advise you to use WinOnCD or EasyCD Creator.
