Help with recording audio CD's.

Hi, I have a IOmega ZipCD 8x4x32, and I always used to record audio CD's using Easy CD Creator, but now it suddenly doesn't recognize my drive, I have tried updating Easy CD Creator, lots of thigs, but it doesn't work, I also have problems with Nero, it can only record at 4x, I try at 8x, but when it starts burning it says "change of speed due to media" and it burns at 4x. I have tried MP3CDMaker too but it gives me a problem too and it doesn't burn with that program, I just want a good cd burning app that I can burn audio at 8x with no problems, if you can help me solve any of these problems please reply here, Thanks.

"Change of speed due to media" means that you don't use 8x certified CDRs. Burning at 8x with these CDs is not reliable. I don't know if its the soft or the hard that prevents burning at 8x in that case. To solve the problem, use 8x certified media.
