never winter nights no cd

I was told by a friend that I could take my copy of never winter nights and install a no cd required program. However all those I've used have not worked. Is it true? can I do It? Is this a "crack"? Could someone explaine how to do this or direct me to a forum that will show me how to do it?

What exactly have you been using? The steps are fairly simple, i'll tell ya them.

1: Install NWN with a full install.
2: Go here http://spacetarget.com/gcw/games/pc_...r_nights.shtml and download the no-cd/fixed exe for the version you have, think 1.20 is the latest, so just update and dl that one.
3: Unzipping the no-cd patch, usually its just an exe and you copy it to your NWN install directory over the regular NWN exe,(rename the old one to blah.exe.bak, so you have it and can update later if need be).

Then you're done. Usually no-cd patches/fixed exes come with some sort of thing telling you what to do, if that helps any. If the file is a .nfo open t with notepad or search around and see if you can find DAMN NFO Viewer to view the nfos properply.

if you have a decent cd you'll find a directory whit the name crack on it. it should contain a .exe copy it to hte game.exe and have fun.

@CV .nfo = .txt
