I think that you should be alright then. Anything after and including v2.03 will not boot DVD-R using Neo2.2
Please correct me if I am wrong. I can remeber pjclark1 talking about this a couple of months ago.

The new AR2 will boot dvd-r, Look at the post below entitled "Will the No Solder V5 boot DVD-R backups". Nightstalker has a boot method that works for the new AR2 and GS2 however if you have a v5 console i dont think it will boot dvd-r with a neo2.2. The v5 doesnt support the EA swap method.
