Making a No CD patch
Hi,
I'm pretty new to this forum. The reason I got to this is, is because I was looking for a gamepatch, and there isn't one available for the current version I have. So I decided to make it myself. Of course I need some basics to start at, so I started to go through the ASM manuals here on the forum. (for the people who are trying to help me: thanks in advance. My background is not completely informatics, but I get a little hang of it) I understand it pretty good (it is logical and well explained so thanks to the poster!!!). So the next step is getting a good desassembler to understand and write a piece of ASM where I can get my executable skip over de disc check (it keeps asking to put the disc in). My knowledge of desassembler programs is poor however. Does anyone know how to work with it, and can he/she get me on track to make my first contribution to GCW? Any help is appreciated |
