a little help here please
Hello everyone this may not be the right forum to post in and if it isn't
then i am sorry for posting here. I just simple need some info , help or a point in the right direction as i am new to this stuff.Here is the problem i am having. I used protection id scanner v5.1 and got back this info Scanning -> D:\WIN32\AUTOPLAY.EXE File Type : Exe, Size : 53300 (0D034h) Bytes -> File has 52 (034h) bytes of appended data starting at offset 0D000h [!] Possible CD/DVD-Check String -> InsertCdTitle - Scan Took : 0.969 Seconds I have axe 3 hex editor can i just remove the offset out on the autoplay.exe and save it and that will bypass the block? thank you |

You can use the information "InsertCdTitle" to search for this string with W32dasm V8.9 to find out what offset you need to manipulate.
You need to read some cracking tutorials. I don't have that much knowledge in cracking files....

Well this didn't go well at all. Here is a update on what i did.
Ran win32dasm found my error line (00001b69) the used hiew and went to that line and noped it out and now i get this after i save it. this file isnt a valid win32bit applicication. This app is like from 1999 and i still can't fix it, i really don't want to have to use 7 disc all the time. I have found it uses a autoexec.exe , and a cdpath.dll. I scanned the exe it doesn't have protection , but the autoexec.exe does. And the exe calls on the cdpath.dll. Someone has to know what this is or how to fix it thanx. |

Yes i have been reading them, just needed a bit more help.
