F.E.A.R valid video mode ??? HELP.

Any chance anyone can help me with the game F.E.A.R

all i get when trying to play is a black screen for 2 seconds then

unable to initialize the render to a valid video mode

any help please ???
i have a 6600gt with the newest drivers installed.
when i go to config the game there is nothing in the boxes ???

PLEASE HELLP.

buy a ati x1000 series card instead :P
