Need a GOOD and FAST DVD Reader
I am currently using the Pioneer 109 DVD burner with good success using Ritek/Ridata 8X media; no coasters so far.
For some reason the READ function of the 109 seems to be unusually slow, so I am considering using a new drive to read the data into my computer before writing with the Pioneer. I am looking for a RELIABLE and FAST DVD read-only drive for this purpose. Would appreciate advice from members who have knowledge in this area. Thank you, in advance. lugesm |

My Pioneer 109 reads fast.
But for cheapness (and noisiest :\ ) try the Lite-on DVD-roms they have great speed (and the unfortunate noise lol ) |

Toshiba with a firmware hack is the way to go. Hella fast reading.
