Sims 2 DVD but no DVD rom ?
I bought the sims 2 dvd because they were out of the cdrom version at the store. I'm able to install and play it on my laptop just fine. Only thing is that my laptop is slow compared to my DT, but my DT does not have a dvdrom drive
I cant afford to buy a dvdrom drive atm, so i'm trying to figure out a way to get it to run on my DT. I'm able to install it on my DT through sharing the dvd rom from my laptop on my network. I still cant run it because its reading the hardware on my DT :/ Any ideas ?Thx |

You can try the "Mini-Image" way to play it on your DeskTop PC.

On the other hand, it might be easier and less time consuming to wash a couple neighbor's cars and buy a cheapo DVD drive.

Isn't a DVDROM Drive cheaper than a full-price game (around $50 USD)

about 30 USD
an El Linko Is there a no-dvd patch? edit: nevermind, it was a while ago. I think I did something different. What protection does it have? you can try alchohol %120 or something, make a virtual drive. I am not sure if it has a free trial though. I know the size will be large, but just temperarly until you get a drive.

buy the game again?
What is wrong with you people? That's the best advice for GarveDigger is to buy the game again? He bought the game. He should be able to put the game on any computer he owns so that he can play the game [that he bought] whenever he wants to. Geez, why do we have to always be squeezed for every last friggin dime? This is exactly why we need no-CD/DVD cracks. Not to rip off the game company, but to keep them from ripping off us.
