The CloneCD trick works? Excellent. akahomeruk - in settings, select 'lock CD' and also make sure Windows doesn't autostart the CD. If you leave the drive open when you start CloneCD and then go through the copying process, the drive will close and completly by-pass the windows CD drivers.



The problem is - - can the GC actually read proper DVD disks? - there was a mini DVD disk on the cover of one of the GC magazines with some video previews, but the mag said that it couldn't be read on a GC.

I think the most likely method of playing backups would be some sort of DVD drive add-on (like the Doctor64 thing for the N64) - which would be cool as you couild get muliple games per disk!
