sometimes u just get a bad laser maybe laser adjustment would sort it
i had v4r was only 2 weeks old had messiah in it
worked great but laser was naff even with adjustment could only get it to read pioneer and apple media

i take it u r using a03 firmware 1.55 not very good upgrade to 1.68
