A protection fix patch removes any protection on games so that you can copy them.
For example if you were trying to copy Final Fantasy 9 your copy would not work as it has protection to stop you copying it. By applying the patch you are able to copy it. For patches goto megagames.com To apply patches download PPF-O-Matic and apply the patch to a cdrwin .bin file Hope this helps Sim
