Yo, the dvd-ram is different. I'm not sure exactly what the ps2 uses, it could be, but I would do some more investgating before you go doing this. I know that there are like 3 or 4 different dvd writing formats out there right now, some only write in the pits of the dvd, some write in the pits and on the peaks of the groves, some use constant linear velocity and some use constant angular velocity. Can't remember exactly what dvd's use, but I know the do it one the pits and peaks, and i think constant angular velocity. Just do some more research before you invest 400 dollars in the unit on a whim.
