Indeed. But it is always worth checking this. As you'll no doubt know, cracks can add new sections to the .exe or alter section info (such as size). If a trainer maker has opted to use these areas, then users of the original (non-fixed) version may have issues, due the code caves been written into space which either doesn't exist or isn't as expected. This is particularly the case with SecuROM titles which the majority of protected discs still use.

I know for a fact that this isn't the case with Brewers though, having said that, as they don't write to specific fixed code caves. Rather .dll injection is used (so allocated memory which is always going to be free and usable).

There has been multiple occasions in the past when the question has come up:
"Can cracks make a difference to the working of a trainer?"
And the simple answer is yes, it can do. But it depends on the fixed file itself and/or how the coder has opted to do the hacks.
