Hey guys, i've just registered to help you guys.
What I did was searched everywhere for new image but couldn't find it. Then i discovered that you can still use the X3_Terran_Conflict_(NORMAL_tages_MINI_image_by_xKV tor).mds Just make sure you keep a backup of X3TC.exe dvm.dll before the 2.1 patch. After the patch copy the files back use the 2.0 files It works for me without any problem or clicking the exe 15 times lol. Cheers

Using files of different versions together may cause strange, unexpected behavior so, no, your solution is not good.
