If you like playing without disc in drive for the legitimate reason to protect
it from usage wear and for personal convenience, then dont update to 2.1
cause u will not be able to use image/mini image any longer.


Any useful information on new solutions concerning this are welcome.

Can somebody try (i dont, have a time right now (for reinstall ;p)) backup the TC 2.0 exe file ... -> install patch -> (backup patched file;p) put 2.0 exe on 2.1??

Oki...i have something like temporary solution...
Dwngrade Your game to 2.0a
Copy X3TC.exe and dvm.dll, install 2.1 and replace :)
I have changes like Crystal Fab. L, etc ;)
But i think that changes its not good for a game ;p

Then you are mostly playing 2.0a RecoNet.
I guess they updated Tages to 5.5.7.2.

I have Win7 and SCSI doesn't work yet :/
But I've played for several minutes and i must have less Crystals for the HUB ;) but v. is corectly 2.0a.. sh ;P

Downgrading may screw up your traders eventually cause there are some changes and a downgrade will cause a mess.

I have invisible wares in my trader that fill up cargospace and cant be deleted.
Using remote best sells i can at least determine that they are there...eg . 37 units of unknown objects...but they are not sellable and not ejectable from ship either. Have to sell ship and move pilot to free up space again.

Recreating full image is confirmed working meanwhile but for that u have to have dt pro advanced latest version. Most probably your traders will remain buggy though since the saves are affected by the first installment of 2.1...then downgrading and upgrading again...

VIDE works in x64 for a long time already. I suggest you go and buy DT Pro advanced instead of using a old version ^^.

2.1 Solution
Im doing the upload it to megaupload right now. The say it is was made for a russian 2.1 and maybe should work for other games. (I hope the link lasts cause I have no account)

file dates are from January/february 2009 i severely doubt that this is
thrustworthy.

As far as I know the patch came out just recently, you say no crack talk then you are trying them O_o :P

So only thing you can do is wait for new DTpro or Lite to be released or wait for a crack.

I installed everything from scratch with the 2.1 update
I have no problem with 2.1 with X3TC.exe and dvm.dll from 2.0...
also in main menu i see 2.1 ;)
But i do not see treasure hunter missions for now... generally works :)

I play on Win7 x64 and i can not have vIDE in this time... I must wait for update :/

Download 2.1 patch and install it. Use Daemon Tools lite latest edition and YASU tools also latest version and works perfectly. I started treasure hunt mission today. Good luck playing ;).
