Thankyou so much for trying to help me, DABhand. I still have the same problem. I tried to reinstall it and everything, but it's just not going to do anything without the disc. I tried not bothering with shortcuts and tried to open straight from .exe file. Nothing
 Never mind, I'll just use the disc for this one. But I have switched off those annoying pop up windows now, which has to be a positive Thanks so much for taking the time with me. I really do appreaciate it very much! Cheers.

Sorry it did not work for you, perhaps a kind soul will make a mini-image for this game, so you can use a program called daemon tools to fool the game into thinking the cd is in the drive when its not. But unfortunately it may not work for this game, as I seen in the .nfo file you have to copy files from the DVD also.
