Homeworld 2 crack broken on Vista?

turn off dep for it then...
see if that works..

control panel -> system -> advanced -> performance (click settings) -> Data Execution Prevention

click add, select the exe file...

click ok...

run the game... you might require a reboot (on mine i didnt)...

I bet its that stupid UAC that MS decided would be a good laugh.

It prevents you from installing or using any apps that need to use of a HD to store data.

Turning it off stops this and allows you to use apps again.

Look under User Accounts in the control panel and you can turn off from there.

Useless crappy feature :P

Well, I have UAC turned off already and I already had DEP set to only on for essential services, which is why I'm confused about it giving me the error in the first place.
