Sounds to me, when you went to update your GFX card, it uninstalled your old ones first and asked to restart the PC. You may have thought it installed them.
But also it could be the card itself, or the AGP bus on the motherboard. It can be a number of things, unfortunately the forum isnt the best place to get it diagnosed, since I cant physically see the PC to see whats going on.
