Yup, GLH just pointed why. Only if the disc ain't original or an imperfect copy, the update cancels the install. Sims2 can have backups with the right tools, as long as you make the backup from your original CDs/DVD. But I prefer to play it from my DVD. Less headaches. Hope they will do a release as they did for the original Sims(see the complete collection). I have enough fans in the house(mainly females
