This really sux. 34 people viewed this thread yet nobody replied to help this guy out
 .ajaxn007, Did you buy the game new?? If so return it for exchange. It is possible for a game to be damaged without having scratches. Same with the console, It is possible you got a new console with a poor laser. The "lil creaky noise" you are hearing is the laser trying to focus on the media so its one of the two mentioned. Not having a memory card keeps you from saving game data, the game should still load and play.
