Also, the xbox power supply can only produce so much power. There is no need to add any more than 1 extra power connector for the system, unless you are going to use very low voltaged devices.

Even if you only have a Cold Cathode connected, the xbox might display an error on boot up due to the fact that the hdd/dvd drive does not power on fast enough.

for the power cables i only added one or two more connectors, so it would not make much of a difference, i think I only did this so i would be able to use additional hard drives or disc drives with the xbox
